Arts Observer covers modern and contemporary art in New York, Washington, D.C., and beyond.

The photography-driven site offers a window into the visual art world through an ongoing series of observations, as well as interesting art news and videos. There is also periodic coverage of other aesthetic forms, including design, fashion, architecture and interiors.

Arts Observer was established in 2011 by Victoria Valentine, a journalist and art enthusiast who regularly visits galleries, museums and art shows. She writes and photographs all of the site’s original content.
