“Gran Elefandret,” 2008
NEW YORK—Incredibly, “Gran Elefandret,” the bronze elephant sculpture by Miquel Barceló is balancing upside down on its narrow trunk. The gravity-defying installation was made possible by Marlborough Gallery. The 26-foot tall sculpture will be on display on the triangle on the SE side of Union Square from Sept. 13, 2011 to May 29, 2012.
