At America Eats Tavern, Windows into History

Some of the window panes feature transparent, vintage photographs.

WASHINGTON, DC—I had a great dinner at America Eats Tavern yesterday, the José Andrés pop-up restaurant collaboration with the National Archives. More than just a dinner, it was an experience with some fascinating American food history on the side. The four level interior has a modern, industrial look with a nod to Americana. The centerpiece is a cascade of window panes that hangs from the ceiling down to the first level.
