A City Hall Park, Finding ‘Common Ground’

NEW YORK—It’s always a pleasure to stroll through City Hall Park where the venue’s public art installations make it a real destination. “Common Ground,” the current exhibit, appears to be an assembling of works that have nothing to do with one another. In fact, the show is intended to surface commonalities—common ground—among the disparate works and examine the ways in which the 10 artists featured approach public space and civic engagement.

A Public Art Fund exhibit, “Common Ground” is on view from May 24 to Nov. 20, 2012.
