Mural Project Beautifies Welling Court in Queens

Queens, NEW YORK—A crew of new and legendary street artists was enlisted to paint a series of murals in Welling Court in June. It was the second year that Ad Hoc Art partnered with the community to spruce up the neighborhood.

Ad Hoc was established in 2006 and describes itself as a “design house and cultural think tank using art, collaboration and consciousness” to address today’s social challenges and effect change.

Last weekend I checked out the neighborhood. The Welling Court Mural Project turned several blocks into an outdoor art gallery.
