‘Duo,’ a Statuesque Sculpture by David Hostetler has a Modest Presence

NEW YORK—”Duo,” a slender sculpture depicting a couple standing side-by-side, seemingly fused to one another, is easy to miss. The installation is on a small plaza on the backside of Trump International Hotel and Tower on Broadway at West 61st Street near Columbus Circle and Central Park.

The bronze sculpture by David Hostetler, was created in 1997 and installed in 2006. Hostetler usually focuses on the female form and works in wood and metal out of his studio in Athens, Ohio.
