At Anthropologie, Beeswax Sculptures by Riondato Explore Classic Characters

NEW YORK—A series of beeswax sculptures by Nino Walter Riondato is on display at the Anthropologie in Rockefeller Center. The exhibit is called “Cera Poetica.” The 15 small figures “revisit classic characters of legend—people, gods, angels and animals—as modern conduits of raw emotion.” An Italian artist and former photography instructor at the High Institute in Padua, Riondata recently turned his attention to exploring beeswax as a medium of expression.
