HAVANA—During the Havana Biennial, Arts Observer visited Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA). Founded in 1976, ISA offers university-level advanced studies in theater, music, dance and visual arts. At the visual arts school, the ceramic studio offered glimpses of intriguing works in progress. Although no students were on hand to talk about their work and studies, as these images from June 11 indicate, their creativity was evidenced throughout the studio.
