Next Up on High Line Billboard: Elad Lassry

NEW YORK—Is that the same woman or two different women? The latest billboard in The High Line’s public art series is a real attention getter. The mesmerizing green background provides a bold frame for a pair of oval portraits by Los Angeles-based Elad Lassry. The billboard stands adjacent to the elevated parkway at 18th Street and 10th Avenue. Look closely and it is clear that the engaging images depict two different women.

“The Women” is on view from Aug. 1 to Sept. 7, 2012. The installation will be followed by an exhibition of Lassry’s work at The Kitchen, a nearby Chelsea Gallery, from Sept. 7 to Oct. 20, 2012.

Lassry’s billboard is the fifth in The High Line’s series. View others here.
