Easter Parade 2014: Spring’s Best Hats & Toppers

NEW YORK—Every year, the annual Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival on Fifth Avenue is a real crowd pleaser. Stylish couples and those donning their Sunday best make their way up the avenue (between St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 50th Street and about 57th Street near Bergdorf Goodman) among the tourists, photographers and everyday New Yorkers. Plenty of crazy and outlandish hats drown out the elegant and handmade toppers, but the event is always worth the glimpse of glam and true craftsmanship displayed by members of the Milliners Guild, the self-described “organization of small millinery business owners and milliners who specialize in the design, production and promotion of handmade headwear.”
